Axanto 4.4 released

Author:

Axanto Portal 4.4 is here. Activity fields follow a single formula syntax, detail pages and lists have a calmer layout, and contracts show their hour budget.

What’s new

One formula syntax for all activity fields

In the activities of a request offering every field follows the same rule: either text, or an expression starting with =. The editor guides you while typing and checks the syntax. Existing request offerings and open activities are converted automatically during the update.

Calmer layout

Detail pages and lists have a calmer, more consistent layout.

Contracts

Contracts show ordered, used and remaining hours, their successor contract and the status of a follow-up quote.

Updating

From 4.3 the update is a regular setup run; the database is updated automatically. At the first start after the update, the activity fields of all request offerings and open activities are rewritten once to the new formula syntax; no manual step is needed, and unclear cases are flagged for review in the log. If you maintain many custom expressions, you can rehearse the conversion on a test system with a copy of the production database first – the upgrade runbook in the product help describes how. For the update from 3.72 the advice stands: please plan it together with your Axanto contact and read the upgrade runbook in the product help first.
